LISA GOES OFFICIAL WITH BOYFRIEND JAMES
It’s been three years since the heartbreaking collapse of her 11-year marriage to childhood sweetheart Ant McPartlin.
But last week, a glowing Lisa Armstrong painted a far happier picture alongside her boyfriend, James Green, in a sweet Valentine’s Day tribute to him, as she finally confirmed their relationship on Instagram.
Fresh-faced Lisa, 44, happily beamed in a selfie alongside the dad-of-two, 37, who was seen planting a kiss on her cheek in another snap, which she simply captioned “HVD (Happy Valentine’s Day)” alongside three heart emojis.
Lisa’s public confirmation of their romance comes six months after they were first spotted looking cosy at a London park, shortly after James’ separation from his estranged wife Kirsty, with whom he shares a 14-yearold daughter and an 11-year-old son. Since then, the couple have only been spotted out together once; a conscious move out of courtesy to James’ wife and children, insiders told Closer.
In stark contrast, Ant, 45, publicly moved on with his
PA, and Lisa’s former pal, Anne-Marie Corbett, 43, in the months following his marriage breakdown. The pair – who revealed their engagement in January – bought two Maltipoo puppies and moved into their “dream home” with Anne-Marie’s two children from a previous relationship.
But pals say that after enough dust had settled, Lisa and James decided the time was right to finally go public. The source says, “Both Lisa and James have made it their top priority to be as respectful as possible to their exes. They decided the time was right to confirm their relationship without going over the top and putting on a big show.”
Since her divorce from the BGT presenter and custody battle over their beloved Labrador, Hurley, Lisa’s career has gone from strength to strength. The Strictly make-up artist has bagged a string of stints in front of the camera and even launched her own make-up range with cosmetics giant Avon.
