SCARLETT CALLS OFF ‘WEDDING PLANS’
Just one month after revealing her plans to adopt a baby and elope to Las Vegas, Scarlett Moffatt shocked fans after announcing she’d split with boyfriend Scott Dobinson last week – only for the pair to reunite 24 hours later.
The Gogglebox star, 30 – who’s been dating policeman Scott for two years – later blamed the brief split on their “stressful” house move.
But sources say the pressure of getting married and having kids was also a factor.
An insider reveals, “Scarlett and Scott have been moving quickly – they moved in together and have even been working together on her new podcast in which she has been talking about wedding plans and eloping to Vegas, despite Scott not even having proposed yet.
“It’s all put way too much pressure on them, especially as they’re locked down together, and the reaction was a split. But then they calmed down and reflected on things, and agreed they still want to be together but just to take their romance a day at a time.
“Scarlett has vowed that from now on, she’ll call off chat about babies and weddings to ease the pressure.”
The TV star had initially told fans she and Scott were “no longer together”, but they were seen cuddling up on her Instagram the next day.
In February, Scarlett told fans she’d love to become a mum and revealed her wish to adopt. She also discussed either having a “massive wedding” or eloping to Vegas on their joint podcast, Scarlett Moffatt Wants To Believe.
Scott added, “She’s full of hints. It went from ‘I’ve found this stately home, let’s have this massive ceremony, get all this catering in, this is how I want my tables’ to ‘We’re going to Vegas, it’s what I really want to do because it will be fun.’”
