It can be easy to go wild when shopping online. “Adding something to a virtual basket somehow seems less real than when you’re physically holding items in a shop, so it’s easier to overspend,” says Daniela. “Make the most of filters and narrow down your search by specifying the item, size, length and even colour. Use more specific searches too, such as “cotton floral maxi dress”. Basically, the fewer options you have, the more likely you will find what you’re looking for and not be tempted by impulse purchases.” Daniela also says it’s important to only purchase items you’ll get plenty of use from. “Ask yourself, ‘Will I wear this item a lot?’ If you’re looking for something to wear for a specific occasion, have a think about whether there is something suitable already in your wardrobe; if not, make sure you buy something you’ll get a lot of use out of.”
