You play Tiffany – tell us more? When I first read the scripts, one of my initial thoughts was, “She is terrifyingly like me!” Tiffany is a hopeless romantic, and she’s going through the motions of what’s expected when you break up with someone – you have some wine, you sit on the sofa, you cry and you feel better. But she’s vulnerable in ways she doesn’t realise.

Have any great break-up songs worked for you over the years?

Actually, I was listening to

You Oughta Know by Alanis Morissette recently. It’s so good because it’s angry. There’s an energy to it that I like as opposed to thinking, “Oh my word, my life is over!”

Do you watch many romcoms?

I know every single line of When Harry Met Sally. My friend and I are trying to start a Nora Ephron (who wrote the screenplay) podcast, which is the most millennial sentence. And in true Nora style we have procrastinated and mostly just eaten food, had wine, and talked about doing it.

How would you cope with Tiff and Leon’s living arrangement?

I think I’d be fine, though I’d worry for the flatmate as it would need to feel like my space, and when I’m staying in places, all my drawing equipment comes with me.

I’m a great cook so I think we’d get on because I always make more than I need – there would always be a Tupperware full of something.

What about the bed situation…?

The side I sleep on is very important. I once tried to switch it up and I hated it. It’s weird - even when I’m in bed alone, I notice I still sleep on my side, and if it is a long-term thing, I’ll often create a “pillow human” and then I don’t feel so alone.
