MEGHAN’S BID TO RUIN KATE
After more explosive details emerge from her biographer Omid Scobie, insiders say Meghan Markle’s attacks on Kate Middleton are causing tension with Harry
The war between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton has been raging over the past four years – reaching an explosive peak when the former Suits actress accused her sisterin-law of leaving her in tears after a row over bridesmaids’ dresses ahead of her 2018 wedding to Prince Harry.
But that was just the start of a litany of complaints levelled at Kate, 41 – who Meghan, 42, has since accused of being at best cold and “not a hugger”, and at worst, has hinted she was a bully who ignored her cries for help.

And last week the shocking revelations notched up a gear when “Meghan’s mouthpiece” Omid Scobie released his new book, Endgame – which sees him again fire shots into the heart of The Firm.
In the bombshell book, Kate is cruelly accused of being “too terrified to do anything more than grinning photo ops”, while Scobie also claims she is told to copy Princess Diana’s style.
Sources quoted within the book also claim that Kate – who is said not to have spoken to Meghan in four years – “immediately detected a rival” in her new sister-in-law, whose name is now said to make her “shudder”.
And while Scobie claims that he is “not Meghan’s pal” and has denied that the Sussexes had any involvement in his second book – admitting instead that he had spoken with “plenty of people” close to the couple – Meghan confessed in 2020 that she had allowed a friend to speak with the author ahead of his first book, Finding Freedom.
And now a source tells Closer, “Kate’s under no illusion that Meghan was very much behind this book and there is no doubt in her mind that she used Omid to try to further twist the knife and tarnish Kate’s image.
“Meghan has always been jealous of Kate and she can’t stand the fact that Kate is still being put on a pedestal and can do no wrong, while she feels she is unfairly portrayed as the villain. Meghan’s on the warpath – she wants to reveal the true Kate and is adamant that she won’t stop until she’s ruined.”
Endgame has also dredged up Harry and Meghan’s accusation of racism by two senior members of the Royal Family
– a claim they made during their 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview when they alleged that a senior member of the family had questioned the colour of their four-year-old son Archie’s skin ahead of his birth.

The book claims that Meghan – who also shares two-year-old Lilibet with Harry, 39 – named two Royal Family members in letters to Prince Charles, with the Dutch version of Scobie’s book being pulled from publication at the eleventh hour after an editing mishap that saw two names being published.
Pulling Kate into the furore, Scobie also writes that she and William, 41, were “well aware” of the conversations regarding Archie’s skin colour and that they had refused to contact Meghan and Harry, despite Charles reportedly asking them to reach out to the couple.

And Meghan isn’t going to stop there, as Scobie hints that she is yet to reveal the
“full story” about her “grim experiences behind palace walls”, where he says that women marrying into the family are seen as “disposable”.
“There are still things the couple has not shared,” he writes, following royal author Tom Bower’s revealing to
Closer earlier this year that Meghan could be set to pen her own memoir.
And now insiders confirm that Meghan is only just getting started on her one-woman mission to bring down Kate.
A source says, “Many believe Meghan’s bitterness and resentment towards Kate has turned into almost an obsession – with friends revealing how she pores over every picture and article written about her and how her mood will instantly change whenever Kate’s made a public appearance and is once again fawned over and glorified as ‘the perfect Princess’.”
INFATUATED
Before meeting Meghan in 2016 on a “blind date”, Harry had been exceptionally close to Kate, who he called “the sister I never had” and who in turn shared his sense of humour – once gifting him a “grow-your-own-girlfriend” kit for Christmas.
Closer previously reported how Kate reached out to Harry on numerous occasions in a bid to extend an olive branch.
“She wants Harry to know that there are a lot of people, herself included, who care about him and are rooting for him to be happy,” a source said earlier this year.
Now insiders say Harry wants to stop Meghan adding any more fuel to the fallout with Kate – who they say Harry feels has “always had his back”.
The source adds, “Harry’s desperate for it to stop and has begged Meghan to let it go but, as he says, it’s like she’s almost infatuated with her and won’t stop until she has Kate’s head on a plate.
“It’s gotten to the point where Kate now sparks all of their rows and Harry is at his wits’ end.
“He was always extremely close to Kate and despite everything that’s happened with his family, he still feels a strong bond to Kate and has told Meghan he worries her mission to seek revenge on Kate is going too far.”
And while signs of healing ahead of Christmas came to light last month when it was revealed that Harry reached out to Charles in an “emotional” call for his 75th birthday, the source says that Kate has been left “terrified” as the royals rally around her.
The source says, “Kate’s terrified of Meghan and truly believes there’s something deeply sinister about her – knowing the lengths she’ll go to and how much time and effort she’ll spend just to bring her down.”
