Add ‘Safe Mode’ option to your right-click menu

-

One of the smartest things about Windowscustomisation programs like Winaero Tweaker (https://winaero. com) is that they let you add new options to the right-click context menu. But you don’t need to download any software to add some options to this menu – you can run a registry script instead.

Here, we’ll explain how to add an option to run your computer in Safe Mode. First, search for and open Notepad, then visit our Pastebin page (www.

snipca.com/40906) and copy the command from it (we’ve haven’t published it here because it’s too long).

Paste it into Notepad, then click File at the top left, followed by Save As. Name the file Safe Mode.reg, then select All Files in the ‘Save as type’ dropdown menu. Once saved, double-click the file to open it, and follow the prompts to launch it. When that’s done, right-click your desktop and you’ll see the new Safe Mode option ( in our screenshot below left). Click that, and you’ll see four further options

Note that in Windows 11 you may have to click ‘Show more options’ when you right-click the desktop, in order to see the Safe Mode option you’ve just added. open the app once it’s installed, click the Add button at the top, then navigate and select the folder on your computer.

Next, click Colors ( in our screenshot below) under Libraries, pick a colour, then click OK. This will change the colour of the inside of the folder , keeping the front cover yellow. To apply the colour to the whole folder, click Full Colors under Libraries. You can also add icons, categorised as Work and Everyday.
