This extension makes planning your year ahead much easier by letting you manage your Google Calendar from wherever you are on the web. Pin its button to your toolbar, sign into your Google account and grant Checker Plus permission to access your calendar. You can then click to see all your upcoming tasks and events for the next month and year, or switch to Day or Week view. Checker Plus lets you quickly add entries to your calendar by clicking the plus sign and editing details, or by rightclicking text on a web page and selecting a time and date for that event. You can

you’re looking for more quickly.

As of Chrome 107, which was released in October, the option is enabled by default, so you don’t need to tweak any hidden settings. This works with both www.google.com and www.google.co.uk, but not any other search engines.

To use the new feature, type a search query into Google, as you would normally do, and click a result to open it. An ‘Open search in side panel’ button will now appear in the address bar – this has a ‘G’ icon like the first letter of the Google logo (see screenshot below). Click it and a side panel will open on the right-hand side of the browser showing your search results. Select a result to display the page in Chrome’s main window, then choose a different result to switch to that page.

You can close the side panel by clicking the ‘X’ in its top-right corner and click the ‘Open in new tab’ button to view your search results in a new browser tab. set up notifications (see screenshot) to get reminders of events and birthdays, search across your schedule and have the extension run in the background when Chrome is closed. Unlock extra features by donating any amount to the developer.

If you prefer Outlook’s calendar, you can use Microsoft’s extension to view and add events on the go, without opening a new browser tab. It also lets you read and send Outlook emails.
