Never mind a week­end or even a week of food fes­ti­vals. On the Scil­lies they don’t do things by half with a month-long Taste of Scilly fes­ti­val ev­ery Septem­ber. Vis­i­tors can dis­cover the low-food miles, slow-food cul­ture of this fa­mously un­spoilt ar­chi­pel­ago and saviour a fresh foodie ex­pe­ri­ence ev­ery day: from lob­ster feasts and taster menus to Scil­lo­nian pro­duce mar­kets, from beach bar­be­cues at low tide to pasty-mak­ing work­shops, from evening sup­per boats to Taste of Scilly cock­tails and cream teas.
