This look is all angles and ridges, set off with a sin­gle sharp-edged ear­ring. “I prepped the hair just as I did for the su­per­model curls, then made a deep side part­ing and held the lengths in place with croc­o­dile clips along the hair­line,” says O’Rourke. “For the knot­ted ridge, pick up a small sec­tion of hair above the ear and twist it back on it­self un­til it loops, then pin the loop against the scalp. Add the rest of the sec­tion to the next one and re­peat un­til you have four knots snaking to­wards the back of the neck. Re­move the clips, brush out the curls and fin­ish with hair­spray [8].”
