MY CULTURED LIFE

Great to know that even ice-cool DJ Lilah Parsons cries at Bridget Jones too

-

First thing you read in the morning? I wish I could say it was something intellectual like the Financial Times, but it’s just Twitter.

Most recent TV binge session? I’m re-watching Friends. It’s way more relatable now that I’m 30.

Last thing you bought? A printer! It only took me until the age of 30 to become an adult.

Favourite emoji? The monkey with its paws over its eyes, normally while I’m recounting something embarrassing.

Song that gets you dancing? Shake It Off by Taylor Swift.

Last film that made you cry? Bridget Jones’s Baby. Just happy-sad tears. I was obsessed with the books when I was younger.

Book on your bedside table? Lily Allen’s autobiography, My Thoughts Exactly, and The Mystery of Three Quarters [the new Poirot novel] by Sophie Hannah. Last time you were star-struck? I went to a British Film Institute dinner and Ruth Wilson was there. She’s a brilliant actress, so I did stare a little bit.

App you can’t live without? Google Maps. For the 10 years that I was modelling, I had to use my A-Z to get around London for castings. It’s funny to think back to that.

What’s on your workout playlist? Old school ’00s, like Kanye’s Gold Digger.

Last podcast you listened to? I find podcasts so good for [motivating me to] tidy. My jumper drawer is looking so neat because of The High Low.

Current wallpaper on your phone? A picture of the sea from a trip to the Maldives. The whole holiday I was like,“This looks like a screensaver!”

Latest Google search? “Does Harry Styles have three nipples?”

Go-to takeaway dish? Penne arrabbiata. Just posh tomato pasta. Who spends money on that?

Last person you followed on Instagram? Matt Haig, who’s a writer and talks a lot about mental health. He writes a lot of sense.

And unfollowed? I did go on an unfollowing spree recently. I suddenly thought,“Why am I absorbing all of this information that I don’t need?”

Last thing you do before bed? I put my eye mask on and my earplugs in. So sexy.
