What TV shows do you binge on? I love 90 Day Fiancé, about Americans who find love out of the country and have 90 days to get married. Normally, the partner has different motives, like wanting a green card.
Favourite emoji? The fire one to tell my friends they’re looking good.
Last film that made you cry? The Hate U Give. I have a younger brother and it really got to me how easily these young kids’ lives can shift because adults mess up.
Current wallpaper on your phone? Me, when I was 30lb lighter. A reminder to be healthy, girl!
Last thing you bought? I’m executive-producing a Broadway show, Ain’t Too Proud [about The Temptations], and my best friend in the show, Jeremy Pope, got nominated for two Tonys so I bought him a huge gold balloon that said “two noms”, and cupcakes for the cast. Book on your bedside table? I’m doing Shakespeare In The Park [public theatre in New York], so I pretty much sleep with the script for Much Ado About Nothing. I’m also reading
You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero.
Last Google search? Maggie Betts and her short films – I’m searching for writers and directors for some projects I’m looking at.
Last time you were starstruck? I freaked out when I ran into O-Town, who I loved as a teenager.
Last person you followed on Instagram? A stylist called @stylistjbolin – he dresses women of size really well.
Song that gets you dancing? I love Whitney Houston’s I Wanna Dance With Somebody. [Sings] “Clock strikes upon the hour…” Who doesn’t love Whitney?
Last podcast you listened to? Essence magazine’s Yes, Girl! podcast, which celebrates black culture. Guests talk about their lives and careers and how we can be better, brilliant and beautiful.
App you can’t live without? Yelp. I travel a lot so if I need to find a restaurant or get my nails done, Yelp is my best friend.
Last thing you do before bed? I put on a Mary Kay moisturiser that my mother gave me and always use eucalyptus lotion on my feet.
