Take a breather

My current boyfriend is more understand­ing than some of my previous partners. If he sees my temper is flaring, one of us will go for a walk until I’ve calmed down.

Cut out toxic people

I have lost friends after deciding to open up about my diagnosis on social media, but actually, I feel a lot better without those people in my life.

Accept that friends come and go

It doesn’t mean that the other person hates you or that you’re a bad person. Sometimes that’s just life and you can’t take these things personally.
