fashion should be feelgood. While the past year has been a mental struggle for many, 36% of women* said that getting dressed up in lockdown helped boost their confidence. But with archaic style advice such as “black is slimming” and “avoid horizontal stripes” still ringing in our ears, it’s all too easy to dress to conform rather than for yourself.
