Three of the most important things you can do to try to beat disposable plastic:
1. Start a workplace campaign: people who try to cut down on plastic used at work often find colleagues take these tips home with them. That’s using your power as an activist to great effect.
2. Buy a reusable coffee cup: it’s a visible symbol that spreads the word without imposing it. Plus, you’ll get a discount whenever you use it! The majority of people are still using disposables, and not many of those are ever recycled.
3. Write to your MP to let them know that in next spring’s environment bill – due May/june-time – the public is expecting legally-binding measures on reducing plastic.
