NEW BLOOD AT THE SEVEN TUNS
Two friends with a background in top London restaurants have taken over The Seven Tuns at Chedworth, between Cirencester and Northleach. Chef Tom Conway previously cooked at Nobu and Criterion on Piccadilly, as well as The Potting Shed at Crudwell near Malmesbury. His business partner, Simon Willson-white, worked at The Ivy and The Ritz, before moving to the Cotswolds to convert the 17th-century Seven Tuns pub.
As well as modern British dishes using local produce, Simon’s food and wine pairings will play a key part in the pub’s ethos with tastings planned throughout the year. Simon says: “We fell in love with the potential of this beautiful Cotswolds pub and our aim is to keep the feeling of a village pub where the locals still feel welcome and comfortable, but also make it a destination for good wholesome pub grub as well as fine dining.” seventuns.co.uk
