MENTAL HEALTH AWARD
Dormer House School has received the Mental Health Champions Award for Gloucestershire.
Developed by Gloucestershire Healthy Learning and Living (GHLL), the award recognises and acknowledges the high quality provision that some schools make to support the mental health and wellbeing of their school community.
The headmistress of Dormer House School, Alison Thomas, says, “As a school, we recognise that children are individuals with their own needs and we are always working together to ensure we have a happy, healthy school.
“Spending time outside, in Forest School, or joining for a well-being initiative are important features at our school and the award is a great recognition of our ongoing commitment to keeping everyone healthy mentally, as well as physically.”
