COTSWOLD PETS

COTSWOLD PETS TRIGGER “We bought Trigger in 2007 as a beater’s dog for my partner and pet for me. When he was 12 weeks old we were told he had detached retinas and would eventually go completely blind. Many people thought he would be useless and we should have him put down, but we disagreed and thought he deserved a chance. It took a lot of training, patience and perseverance, but Trigger started going beating with my partner Butch, and the people who doubted Trigger had to eat their words. My partner has been asked to go on shoots purely because they have heard about Trigger. He has been known to knock people over, but nobody minds because they think he is so special. Over the years we have had to have his eyes removed, which does attract some funny comments. I was once asked by a small boy if my dog was sleep walking. He is 13 now and retired, but he still loves his walks, food, sleeping and cuddles. To us he is just the best dog ever.” Marion Corden, Notgrove, near Bourton-on-the Water Cotswold Life: August 2020 81
