It’s a lovely environment and brilliant for buying presents, and many of my finds for the house have come from there.’ Go for a meal at... ‘The Seven Stars Inn (01672 851325, thesevenstarsinn.co.uk), in Bottlesford, near Pewsey. It’s an old thatched country pub with great food and a cosy atmosphere; you always receive a lovely welcome and dogs are allowed, too.’
