If you’re nervous about introducing bold pattern on a big scale, try it in small doses first. Use the colours from a favourite painting, fabric or wallpaper and pick them up elsewhere in your scheme. Cushions or lampshades are a great place to start, as they’re fairly easy to switch back again if you change your mind.
