ONLINE BLACK BOOK
Antiques dealer and Salvage Hunter’s star Drew Pritchard shared his online address book with us. ‘Use the hashtag #salvagesundays on Instagram, on a Sunday, to see all of the UK’S dealers showing their best pieces. AS Fairs hold online fairs with well-priced pieces and a great selection. Check out markets and dealer websites, including the Decorative Collective, The Hoarde and 1stdibs.’
FLEA MARKETS AND FAIRS
Interior Design Studio Albion Nord lead us through buying at fairs.
‘If you fancy a road trip, the most affordable antiques can be found in the European flea markets – Lille, Munich and Amsterdam. In the UK, the IACF are held around the country. Arrive early and bring a trolley, the grounds are vast and with so many stalls you risk forgetting where you bought things if collecting them at the end of the day.’ Find a calendar of events at antiques-atlas.com or fleamapket.com for listings in the UK and Europe.
