Making magic

Country Life Every Week - - Letters To The Editor -

IFELT sad that the piece on toy theatres (‘All the world’s a stage’, November 14) didn’t mention the original Pollock’s Toy Museum and Shop, Scala Street, Bloomsbury. This is where the magic originated—with the discovery of copper plates and the establishment of the museum by the Fawdry family. I remain eternally grateful to them as both my sister (actress Nike Arrighi) and I spent the better part of our youth—and pocket money—performing the plays, which led to our careers.
