Bloomin’ lovely

FOR the first time this year, Royal Warrant holder Bentley & Skinner will exhibit at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show (May 23–27). The only jeweller of its kind at the event, its stand will be decorated with pieces inspired by Nature, together with flowers by Mayfair florist Paul Thomas. Following the show, an exhibition, ‘The Garden of Jewels’, will take place at the Bentley & Skinner store in Piccadilly W1 (May 31 to June 3).

AFTER a successful event last year, when the boutiques, clubs and hotels near the RHS Chelsea Flower Show bedecked themselves with extravagant floral displays, Belgravia in Bloom is back. The colourful six-day festival will run from May 22 to 27, convenient for visitors to the grounds of Chelsea Hospital, and the theme this time is children’s books. Rococo Chocolates on Motcomb Street plans to turn its storefront into a scene from James and the Giant Peach and the The Halkin hotel will be drawing inspiration for its display from the adventures of Paddington Bear. Others taking part are Linley, Soane (both Pimlico Road, SW1) and Mosimann’s (Halkin Street, SW1).
