Sky-high living

ACOLLECTION of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments has gone on sale inside the tallest residential and hospitality tower ever to be built inside the City of London. One Bishopsgate Plaza comprises a Pan Pacific Hotel (the Singaporian company’s first hotel in Europe) and 160 private apartments, which, although entirely separate, come with access to all of the hotel’s amenities (including the spa, gym, room service and infinity pool).

A two-minute walk from Liverpool Street Station, the apartments all feature floor-to-ceiling windows with far-reaching views, many of Tower Bridge. If that’s not enough to get your adrenaline pumping, there’s a communal sky terrace on the 34th floor and, closer to earth, a residents-only bar, library and meeting rooms on the 20th floor.

The building is part of a wider development and plan to encourage people back to the City outside of normal working hours. Other works include a restored, Grade-ii-listed façade on neighbouring Devonshire Row, now home to a restaurant and bar. From One Bishopsgate Plaza, there are 10 Michelin-starred restaurants within walking distance, as well as the Barbican Centre, Guildhall Art Gallery and the Museum of London.

From £1.3 million for a one-bedroom apartment (www.onebgp.com/sky-residences).
