Go fly a kite
WILLIAM SYKES asks if anyone has other solutions to dissuade troublesome jackdaws (Letters, January 26). I have been an enthusiastic bird feeder for years and rooks from the nearby rookery began to descend en masse on my feeding stations. I was fascinated watching their antics, but my neighbour was not amused by the state of the cars in his driveway when the birds left. He asked me to move the feeding station, which I was happy to do, but he must not have been satisfied. He has since erected this kite, which flies constantly in the wind. Now, there’s not a bird to be seen. Henry Holloway, by email
