The almshouse at Stydd, Lancashire, which was founded in 1728 for five Catholic widows or spinsters. One of the ‘five old women…accommodated in a two-storeyed building of the simplest kind with sash windows, rough cast walls and stone tile roof’ appears here. The published picture of the building appeared without the figure.
