IT was heartening to read of support for arrowsmiths such as Will Sherman (‘To the point’, February 23). The article notes clockmaking is also endangered. The Worshipful Company of Clockmakers operates a small, but comprehensive apprentice scheme, providing training materials and, importantly, professional mentoring.
