Bonjour, Notre-dame

ANEW exhibition at the Espace Grande Arche in Paris allows visitors to experience Notre-dame Cathedral as never before. Curated in partnership with the Diocèse de Paris, Eternal Notre-dame uses thousands of high-resolution images of the medieval cathedral to render a 3D ‘guided tour’ of the building as it was before the devastating fire of 2019. Through their headsets, visitors can discover the historical events, key protagonists and some of the well-kept secrets that pepper the cathedral’s 860-year history. The conservation and restoration of Notre-dame is estimated to cost in the region of €1 billion and 30% of the ticket price will be donated to the work (www.eternellenotredame.com).
