WHEN the new Elizabeth Line—also known as Crossrail—opens next month, passengers will be able to travel from Canary Wharf to Heathrow Airport in less than 40 minutes. The trains, which are capable of carrying 1,500 passengers (450 seated), can travel at speeds of up to 90mph.
