A dam good time

-

BEAVERS are back in London after 400 long years. Two of the animals, which were hunted to extinction in the 16th century for their fur, glands and meat, were released into the grounds of Forty Hall Farm in Enfield to the north of the city, in mid March, part of a Uk-wide experiment designed to help restore Nature and river habitats and reduce the risk of flooding. There are plans to install a ‘beaver cam’ once the couple has settled in so the public can keep abreast of their movements.
