Stone the crows… or hang them?

-

AS my father read your article on corvids (March 30), he recalled once hearing an almighty noise, which he followed to a tree. On it were many crows gathered around one of their kind, which appeared to be wedged between a forked branch. There were a few crows beneath this bird, pulling on its legs, and a few on its head, pushing it down. It became quiet as the gang flew away and my father was able to see that they had killed their target by hanging.
