In an English country garden

Floral patterns are Hetty Lintell’s favourite in the lead up to the Chelsea Flower Show and The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

JEWELLER Annoushka Ducas and florist Lucy Vail are set to collaborate on the Bullring Gate at the entrance to RHS Chelsea (May 24–28). The magnificent arch will be a tribute to the Platinum Jubilee. ‘I have always said, had I not been a jewellery designer, I would have loved to have been a florist,’ says the jeweller. ‘We both love colour, so this is a real expression of that shared love and, of course, a huge tribute to The Queen on such a momentous occasion.’ Miss Vail is the youngest designer ever to work on this project and this year’s is set to be the most elaborate yet, made up of more than 2,500 plants, all grown in Britain, including on her family’s Floriston Flower Farm in Suffolk.
