Give tree peonies a sheltered position in free-draining soil

Keep them well watered, especially in spring

Add a slow-release potash-rich fertiliser in February or early March and feed them again in late-august

We remove carpels, as they’re heavy and can set viable seeds, but you can leave them overwinter and remove them in early spring
