Per­fect for hang­ing light­weight items in a bath­room or kitchen, this rus­tic hang­ing sys­tem can be cre­ated by re-pur­pos­ing or­nate cut­lery

1 Us­ing a clamp, se­cure a fork to the edge of a work bench, just below the fork’s head. 2 Wear­ing pro­tec­tive gloves, ap­ply pres­sure us­ing your hands to bend the han­dle into po­si­tion. 3 Fold, bend or cut the

fork prongs if you wish. 4 Place in po­si­tion on the back of a wooden door or on a sep­a­rate plank of painted wood. Use a ham­mer and nail to make a hole in each piece be­fore drilling in a screw to se­cure in place.

Flat­ten the heads of spoons with a ham­mer and add let­ter­ing to each one us­ing me­tal al­pha­bet stamps (avail­able from ebay) to in­di­vid­ual effect. Th­ese can also be em­ployed for stylish plant mark­ers stamped with herb or veg­etable names.
