With superb views of St Brides Bay and the Preseli Hills, Roch Castle is the perfect location from which to explore Pembrokesh­ire. Built in 1195, this ancient monument has been frequented by conquerors and courtesans, as well as being a Royalist stronghold in the Civil War. Just two miles away is the blue-flag Newgale Beach.
