Sense of the seasons… the dawn chorus

Nature’s symphony, the dawn chorus, starts this month, as songbirds start to attract their mates. You’ll have to get up early to hear the season’s first choristers, the bright sopranos of the robin and great tit – by 6am, it’s largely over. The RSPB, National Trust and wildlife charities all run dawn chorus walks until May (nationaltrust.org.uk).
