Bad weather meant the eight-seater plane scheduled to take Andrew from Shetland to Fair Isle to photograph knitter Mati Ventrillon was cancelled, and he spent the four-and-a-half-hour crossing curled up on the floor of the boat. Despite still swaying from the journey, Andrew was able to capture the timeless quality of traditional life on the croft, such as Mati’s son feeding the hens, in an image that could easily have been taken 100 years ago.
