Visit Giverny to see the inspiration for much of the artist’s work, in the company of Country Living’s former editor-in-chief
MEET OUR EXPERT
Country Living’s former editor-in-chief Susy Smith says: “I last visited Giverny in 1997. Monet’s spirit is still very present and I came away feeling so inspired we featured Giverny in Country Living that same year. As a passionate gardener, I can’t wait to return in the company of readers and be inspired all over again.”
TCL
he world-famous house and gardens at Giverny, which are full of delphiniums, peonies, brightly coloured bridges and weeping willows, provided Impressionist painter Claude Monet with inspiration throughout his life. On this four-day tour, you’ll explore the lovingly restored gardens in the company of Country Living’s former editor-in-chief, Susy Smith, who will also join you for a private talk and Q&A session. You’ll visit some of France’s other wonderful houses and gardens, including the Château de Chantilly and the Musée de l’orangerie.
GARDENS AT GIVERNY
You’ll visit Giverny early on a Sunday morning, when the gardens are at their most peaceful and you’ll instantly understand why Monet spent half his life painting them. There will be ample time to explore this wonderful place on your own, before heading into the town for a chance to visit the tiny church and cemetery where the artist is buried.
FINE ACCOMMODATION

MONET’S WORK
