Good news for shellfish lovers: a Lincolnshire farm now delivers Uk-grown prawns to your door. Flogro uses an on-land ‘closed-loop’ system to grow prawns in an ecofriendly process approved by the Marine Conservation Society. Thousands of tonnes of prawns and shrimps are imported annually, most from Asia and South America. Feed often comprises fishmeal made from illegally sourced wild fish, but Flogro grows it naturally within the system itself.
