Fritillary Sunday, Ducklington
Snake’s head fritillaries, once common on our wet meadows, are now scarce, but they do flourish in one field in Ducklington, Oxfordshire. Every year, to celebrate the spring bloom, the landowners allow visitors to wander among them. The whole village gets involved, putting on music and Morris dancing, with proceeds going to local St Bartholomew’s Church. Find out more at ducklingtonchurch.org.uk.
