POTATO PRINTS
Cut a potato in half and dry both sides. Cover one half with grey paint and print the ‘egg’ shape in rows, reloading with paint as you go. Leave to dry. Carve out a design – lines and spots – on the other half of the potato, removing the potato in these areas (so the grey will show through here when you do the overlapping print). Cover this with a strong yellow paint and print on top of each grey ‘egg’. Leave to dry.
Metal table, from a selection, Norpar. Chelsea off-white linen, as before. Brushes, £15 (for pack), Hobbycraft. Louis Blue and English Yellow chalk paint, £21.95/L, Annie Sloan
