Take your time to… join the cub club

-

Britain’s badgers are most spritely in summer, making now the perfect time to see cubs playing above ground. First, find a sett visible from a public footpath – the entrance will be a squashed, oval-shaped hole in a woodland or copse. Then head out well before sunset to get into position before dusk. Dress in dark clothing, don’t use torches or flash if you take pictures, and sit so the wind is blowing from the badgers towards you (wildlifetrusts.org).
