SENSE OF THE SEASON… FROST
Nature remakes the landscape on cold autumn mornings, sprinkling icing sugar over the earth and encrusting leaves with tiny ice diamonds in the first frosts. Formed when a surface cools past the dew point, this seasonal glitter holds the promise of winter on its way; crunch across fields, under branches hung with hoar-frost feathers or marvel at its glow under this month’s Frost Moon on 19 November.
