WATCH A WALRUS

Aspiring ecologists can now track walruses from their sofas, thanks to a new citizen science project. The British Antarctic Survey and World Wide Fund for Nature are asking volunteers to help spot and log walruses from images captured by space satellites. As sea ice diminishes, walruses must congregate on land to mate. The data gathered will help experts understand how the animals have been affected by climate change. wwf.org.uk/learn/walrus-from-space
