James Martin travelled throughout France, working in the kitchens of French châteaux before joining the Hotel du Vin & Bistro in Winchester as head chef at just 21. James’s TV shows have included James Martin’s American Adventure, Saturday Kitchen and James Martin’s French Adventure. from the harbour of Cannes and travelling to Lerici in Italy and pretty Portoferraio on the island of Elba, where you can take a vineyard tour and sample the local Ansonica wine. You’ll also stop on Corsica, France’s ‘Ile de Beauté’. And the port of Alghero on Sardinia brings the opportunity to explore its medieval history and taste the local cuisine.
