Germany’s highest places

Country Walking Magazine (UK) - - The View -

Fancy winning yourself an all-expenses-paid seven-night trip to climb Germany’s highest mountain, gaze across the coldest lake in the country and visit an idyllic Bavarian castle, plus try out the brand-new Futura Pro rucksack? Well, it really couldn’t be simpler.

Outdoor gear manufacturer Deuter has launched a unique photo competition that will send the winners on a week-long, once-in-alifetime adventure in 2019. All you have to do for a chance to win is share your own outdoor adventure images on social media. Whether it’s walking the dog or climbing Ben Nevis, everyone has their own adventure and Deuter wants to see it.

The winners will visit the highest and coldest lake in Germany, Funtensee (right, above), summit the mighty 2962m Zugspitze (right, below) and take in Germany’s highest palace, the 19th century Neuschwanstein Castle. Return flights and a Deuter Futura Pro rucksack are included too, plus a visit to Deuter’s state-of-the-art HQ in Augsburg.

Two UK winners will be chosen in September by a select panel of judges of the photo competition, along with 12 further winners from six other countries around the world.
