THE SEARCH FOR the Outdoor Photo of the Year 2018 is on!

Country Walking and sister title Practical Photography, in association with Fujifilm, are launching a massive new annual competition to celebrate the breathtaking beauty of the British Isles. With three diverse categories to choose from and a total of £3516 of amazing Fujifilm cameras and lenses to be won, this is the perfect opportunity for walkers to get creative and share their passion for the outdoors with the rest of the world.

Outdoor Photo of the Year 2018 is open to everyone, regardless of photographic experience. It doesn’t matter whether you’ve got a high-spec camera or a shiny smartphone – we’re simply looking for outstanding shots that show us what you love most about the landscapes of Britain. And with 19,000 miles of coastline, 15 national parks and a near-limitless variety of scenery to explore, there’s no shortage of inspiration out there…

The categories are Landscape, Lifestyle and Nature, and both magazines will be showcasing great entries as the competition progresses.

After the closing date of 31 December 2018, the judging panel will shortlist five entries per category and these images will be printed and framed. Shortlisted entries will be put to a public vote to find a special Readers’ Choice winner. Judges will then select one winner for each of the categories.

HOW TO ENTER

Select up to three images, save them as JPEG files no larger than 10MB each, go to www.livefortheoutdoors.com/ outdoorphoto and follow the simple on-screen instructions.  The closing date for entries is 31 December 2018.
