COMPRESSIBILITY

Even the lightest insulator is likely to take up a fair bit of space in your rucksack when you’re not wearing it, so check how easy it is to compress down, and how small it will go. Then open it out again, put it on and check whether the filling stays where it should be, or clumps up/flops down.
