Going the extra mile

Regatta Great Outdoors is incredibly proud to sponsor The Million Mile Clean Up – part of our broader commitment to doing the right thing we call The Honesty Project.

-

AT REGATTA GREAT OUTDOORS, we believe deeply that honesty, courtesy and respect are critical in all the decisions we make – with customers, colleagues and the workers in our factories. So we came up with The Honesty

Project – our commitment to create fantastic products thoughtfully engineered for the great outdoors, that enhance the lives of everyone touched by our business. We’re not perfect yet, but we’re promising to be honest and transparent in everything we do, every step of the way.

Responsible sourcing is core to the project, and to that end we’ve been members of the Ethical Trading Initiative since 2012 – and we have a zero tolerance to modern slavery in any part of our supply chain.

We want to give back to the communities we work in, so we’ve set up The Regatta Health Education Programme too, which educates female workers in Bangladesh on health, hygiene, nutrition and finance. To date, this programme has been completed in six factories, reaching 10,000 workers who, as peer educators, then pass this knowledge on to their own local communities.

We also support the Regatta Group Savar primary school in Dhaka, Bangladesh, a local school we’ve been funding for over 10 years. It offers life-changing education for children in a safe and exciting place to learn and grow, enabling children to reach their fullest potential and become confident and well prepared for life. There are currently 262 students between the age of 4-14, including 58 children with learning and physical disabilities.

Finally, understanding the impact our activities have on our natural environment is incredibly important to us, and it’s imperative we reduce any harmful effects we can.

We aren’t perfect but The Honesty Project is our commitment to a better future for everyone touched by our business.
