‘Right now I find life very difficult’

“My life was hit by a cyclone – literally and metaphorically – five years ago. I lost everything – my house, my possessions, my partner. I’ve signed up to help me overcome my terrible anxiety issues and panic attacks, and get back to something I love. Right now I find life very difficult and when I plan to go out it’s a constant battle with my mind just to get out of the door, sometimes taking up to three hours battling to get out!

But I’ve got a long-term goal to walk the Coast to Coast path… and this challenge is my first step. It would mean so much if I can achieve this challenge – I’d be walking not just 1000 miles but into a new life”
