A stick that snaps

Thanks for the test of walking poles. One thing that surprises me is that manufacturers don’t fit their poles with provision for a mobile phone carrier at the top of the grip, so that the pole can double up as a selfie stick.

I’d have thought this was an obvious feature – I’ve modified my own (Leki) stick to do this, with a suitably sized nut set in to the top of the grip and secured with Araldite – it might be a bit Heath Robinson but it works! Mark Tyack, Ashbourne
